Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StoreBeam application ("App"), operated by StoreBeam ("we," "our," or "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

StoreBeam is a Shopify application that analyzes your product catalog for AI commerce readiness, identifies issues that may affect product discovery by AI platforms, and provides tools to fix those issues. The App may suggest changes to your product data, but no changes are applied to your Shopify store without your explicit approval.

2. Eligibility

You must be a Shopify store owner or authorized administrator with permission to manage store products and settings. You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.

3. Account and Access

Access to the App is provided through your Shopify account via Shopify's OAuth authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Plans and Pricing

The App offers subscription plans with different feature sets and product limits. Current plans and pricing are displayed within the App and on our website. All billing is handled through Shopify's managed billing system.

• Free Plan: Limited product scanning and basic fix features at no cost
• Paid Plans: Additional features and higher product limits for a recurring monthly fee billed through Shopify

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle.

5. AI-Generated Content

The App uses third-party AI services, including OpenAI, to generate suggestions for product categories, metafield values, descriptions, alt text, and other product data. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated suggestions are provided as recommendations and may not always be accurate
• You are responsible for reviewing all suggestions before approving them
• We do not guarantee that AI suggestions will improve your search rankings, AI visibility, or sales
• You retain full control over whether to accept, edit, or reject any suggestion

6. Changes to Your Store

When you approve a fix within the App, we write the approved change to your Shopify store via the Shopify Admin API. You understand that:

• Only changes you explicitly approve are applied
• Changes modify your live product data on Shopify
• You can revert changes at any time through the Shopify admin
• We are not responsible for any impact that approved changes may have on your store's appearance, search rankings, or sales

7. Scores and Assessments

The AI readiness scores and assessments provided by the App are based on our analysis of your product data against factors we believe are relevant to AI commerce discovery. You acknowledge that:

• Scores are advisory and represent our assessment, not a guarantee of AI platform behavior
• AI platforms may change their criteria at any time, which may affect the relevance of our scoring
• A high score does not guarantee product visibility on any AI platform
• We update our scoring criteria periodically to reflect changes in the AI commerce landscape

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
• Use the App to generate misleading, deceptive, or harmful product content
• Share your account access with unauthorized parties
• Exceed any rate limits or usage restrictions associated with your plan

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, scoring algorithms, and documentation, is owned by StoreBeam and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your use of the App does not grant you any ownership rights.

Content generated by the App's AI features, such as suggested descriptions or alt text, becomes your property once you approve and apply it to your store.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
• Our total liability for any claims related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StoreBeam from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or content you approve and apply to your Shopify store.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App and uninstall it from your Shopify store at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with notice when practicable.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the timeline described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice within the App or by email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which StoreBeam is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration body in our jurisdiction.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
